An OTX International Initiative

Green Your Neighborhood.

Turning community waste into community resilience.

Executive Overview

From waste liability to community asset.

The Green Your Neighborhood Initiative is a community-driven environmental resilience program operated by OTX International. It transforms waste liabilities into economic, environmental, and community assets.

The program addresses one of the most visible and persistent challenges facing communities across the United States: the accumulation of waste tires and other difficult-to-manage waste streams that create environmental hazards, public health risks, fire hazards, and neighborhood blight.

Rather than simply collecting and disposing of waste, Green Your Neighborhood creates a circular-economy model that removes waste, develops local workforce skills, supports environmental stewardship, and establishes the foundation for community resilience infrastructure — through partnerships with municipalities, tribal nations, community organizations, schools, and industry.

The Problem

Millions of waste tires. Every year.

Across the United States, millions of waste tires are generated annually. Improperly stored or illegally dumped, they create cascading harms — and underserved and rural communities are disproportionately affected because affordable, sustainable pathways often don’t exist.

  • ·Mosquito breeding grounds and public health concerns
  • ·Significant fire risks
  • ·Valuable land and community space occupied
  • ·Cleanup costs that fall on local governments
  • ·Degraded neighborhood appearance and quality of life
Our Solution

Five pillars, one circular model.

  • Pillar 01

    Community Cleanup

Organized collection and removal of waste tires and other priority waste streams from neighborhoods, parks, tribal lands, and public spaces.

  • Pillar 02

    Environmental Education

Public-awareness programs that promote responsible waste management, recycling, and environmental stewardship.

  • Pillar 03

    Workforce Development

Hands-on training that exposes participants to advanced manufacturing, recycling technologies, logistics, and environmental management careers.

  • Pillar 04

    Circular Economy Infrastructure

Deployment of innovative technologies that recover value from waste streams while reducing environmental burden.

  • Pillar 05

    Community Resilience

Exploring how recovered materials and energy systems contribute to local resilience, emergency preparedness, and long-term sustainability.

Why this matters

Not a cleanup program. A platform.

Environmental challenges can become opportunities for innovation, education, and economic participation. Green Your Neighborhood is the platform that proves it — in the neighborhoods that need it most.

  • 01Cleaner communities
  • 02Stronger local economies
  • 03Workforce development
  • 04Environmental stewardship
